Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy

Before Dispatch: You can cancel your order directly from Your Orders dashboard at any time while the order status is Processing or Confirmed, at zero penalty. The system will release reserved inventory and initiate an automated full refund immediately.

After Dispatch: Once your order has been packed, handed over to our logistics partner, or dispatched, direct cancellation is disabled because the parcel is in transit. You can refuse delivery at your doorstep or initiate a return request within the applicable return window once delivered.

We offer a 7-day return and replacement policy from the date your shipment is marked delivered. You may request a return or replacement if:

• The book or stationery product arrived in damaged condition or with torn/missing pages.
• A stationery item (pen, journal, desk accessory, craft tool) is defective, leaking, or malfunctioning.
• The item received differs from what was ordered (incorrect title, wrong author edition, or mismatched stationery model/color).
• A used book is graded significantly lower than described on the product page.

Please report damaged or defective items within 48 hours of delivery along with a photo or unboxing video to expedite review.

To ensure genuine quality for all book lovers and stationery enthusiasts, products must meet the following criteria:

• Stationery Items: Must be unused, unwritten, in original packaging with brand tags, seals, barcodes, and accessories intact.
• New Books: Must be in unread condition, with no spine breaks, stains, or markings.
• Non-Returnable Products: Opened ink bottles, customized or engraved items, downloadable materials, and clearance items marked as “Final Sale” cannot be returned once delivered unless proven defective.

Where reverse logistics service is available in your pincode, BookVuk will arrange a complimentary doorstep reverse pickup. Please ensure the parcel is securely packed in its original box.

If reverse pickup is unavailable in your remote area, our support team will guide you to dispatch the item via standard India Post / Speed Post, and BookVuk will reimburse your courier expenses upon receipt of the postal receipt.

Once the returned item is received at our facility and verified (usually within 24–48 hours of arrival), your refund is approved and initiated:

If you paid partially using Store Credit and partially via Online Gateway, the refund will be split proportionally to return your credit first and the cash balance to your banking instrument.
